At StoryWood Wearables, it’s not enough to keep our clients looking sharp, and help them stand out from their peers. We strive to make the world a better place by working with the most effective and impactful charitable partners we can find. We strive to partner with non-profit organizations on every story we tell.
With every bow tie sold, StoryWood Wearables strives to make the world a better place. To accomplish this goal, we have partnered with WaterStep and TreesLouisville, two non-profit organizations that strive to build a better future.
875 million people around the globe live without safe water. Unsafe water and poor sanitation account for 80% of all sickness and disease in the world. Every 20 seconds a child dies from illnesses caused by unsafe water and/or poor sanitation.StoryWood Wearables donates a portion of each sale to purchase M-100 chlorine generators. The M-100 is a water purification system that enables third-world countries to produce their own clean water. Using a 12-volt car battery and salt, the M-100 simply and safely produces chlorine gas that is injected into the water to kill waterborne pathogens.
StoryWood Wearables takes a portion of each sale to go towards planting and nursing a tree right here, in our very own community.
TreesLouisville identifies public school campuses in low-canopy areas and plants a variety of trees using designs tailor-made for each location. These young trees are just beginning their journey of providing numerous educational opportunities and environmental and health benefits for decades to come. Read the Impact Report to learn about the positive impact our work has for students, neighborhood residents and Louisville as a whole.
Through Trees Louisville and the Jefferson County Public Schools (JCPS) Campus Tree Canop Enhancement Program, we are creating mini arboreta at many campuses by planting a diverse assortment of tree species so that each campus offers a unique landscape experience and provides educational opportunities.
